My Husband and I went to enjoy our favorite hot and fresh dishes. Great and friendly service (as always). We love the fresh vegetables in our crispy chow mein! The chili salted cod is so flavorful and my Husband loves his with the garlic chili sauce.

We have been coming to eat at this restaurant for more than 10 years now and the food still very good, clean, tasty and service is fast enough. The price is very reasonable for they give big portion too. The soup is included in your meal Jimmy the server is a nice fellow. The view is the bonus with waterfront view.

Good food, maybe not amazing but good flavour and choice. Large portions that are pretty good value for the price. Friendly server who took our family photos for us. The best part of the restaurant is the view. Amazing view over the water and you can see the whole bay. A place you should visit at least once if you are in Gibsons.

I've been going here even when it was at the old location. The food has always been excellent, for what I've had at least. There was one time where someone I went with got shrimp that still had legs on them, but that was a one time thing. She hasn't had shrimp with legs still on them since that one lunch. The food is quite well made, as well as being consistent and well presented. Food is subjective after all, but I've always left the restaurant feeling more than satisfied. My favorite meal there was the Combo C for a while. Their chow mein, pork fried rice, sweet n' sour chicken balls, cheese wonton and egg/spring rolls are incredible. Some might find the chow mein heavy or greasy, but I love it. I think it's the right balance of both. In more recent years, I've been having the lemon chicken and it's some of the best chicken I've ever had, period. More recently, the pieces have been a lot bigger. Maybe it was just a temporary batch, but they were at least 25-50% bigger than they were before. Quite filling and delicious. The portions in general are really big. Granted, I'm sure some are bigger than others. The staff are cordial and clearly care about their customers. Every visit, they come and refill your water. While it is a simple thing, it is an A+ tier thing to do for your customers. At other restaurants, you'll have to ask for a water refill, or even ask for water at all. At Bayview, they bring you water by default, and refill it after you get your food. For the type of food served (dehydrating food lol), water is a must and they more than deliver. They also remember and treat their regulars quite well, which is another A+. The restaurant itself is nice. The seating and tables are spacious, and I've never experienced a dirty table or chair. Granted, we've always been there right after opening, so who knows how quickly they clean the tables after people leave. The unit used to be a Mexican restaurant, so some artifacts of it exist, but I think they go well with the Chinese theming. I don't recommend eating outdoors, because of the abundance of seagulls. The bathroom is good. All I need to say there. I only rate the atmosphere 4 stars because the restaurant's interior isn't *that* good. It's far from unappealing, however it's not an interior you can lose yourself in. The Chinese zodiacs on the tables are nice to look at though. If you're considering the place, I highly recommend going right after they open. Most people for the lunch rush show up at around 11:30am-12:30pm. Showing up a lil before that will not only get you your food faster, but you'll be out of there before it gets loud. The few times we've gone slightly later, it would be busy. Not Blackfish Pub levels of busy, but still busy. Especially during tourist season which is at the time I'm writing this review. If you want to/have to go for dinner, I can't fully recommend a good time to go because I've never dined in the restaurant for dinner. Whenever I've had dinner from there, we've ordered it. In fact, we ordered this evening. We were told an hour and a half until delivery, and it was pretty much spot on. We once ordered during the pandemic, and it took around 3 hours to deliver. They were probably busy that evening. All in all, a must-dine for any local or tourist that hasn't tried it yet, especially if you love Chinese food. It is a great establishment that I will think about for the rest of my life whenever I see or think about chow mein.

The view behind the restaurant is quite nice, and the interior is clean, spacious, and decorated in a typical Chinese restaurant style. There’s also a small street with shops near the entrance that’s fun to explore. The prices are reasonable, and the food is decent. Our family actually ate here four times before, partly because there aren’t many Chinese food options nearby. If you’re in the area and craving Chinese cuisine, it’s worth a try. That said, the service could be improved. The staff didn’t seem very friendly, and we weren’t offered any water until we were nearly finished with our meal.

Insane price for this fresh ingredients and portion!! I bet everyone walks out with full happy stomach here. One person combo can easily feed 2-3 person in my opinion. We tried lunch special today, it came with a choice of soup, rice or noodle, a cheese wonton, and a spring roll. That's 15 bucks...! All dishes were made right after the order, soup and main meals were served HOT and all veggies were very fresh. Crunchy things were crunchy, soft things were soft, hot things were hot. What do you expect more? This is my favourite restaurant in Sunshine Coast. I love their view as well. Come and try!

We stopped at this restaurant yesterday for take out. Normally we purchase from Golden City in Sechelt, but they were closed so we figured we would try this restaurant instead. We ordered three vegetarian dishes and three meat dishes. The portion sizes were good, the food was fresh, and we were pleased with the flavor. We still prefer Golden City for portion size and price, but this was a very good substitute. I definitely recommend Bayview Szechuan if you are in Gibsons.
